Discovered in the Christmas Tree, Day 6: I Wonder As I Wander

Hello everyone! It's the 6th in Greenwich Mean Time, and LJ is being temporarily cooperative, so here I am to wish you a very happy holiday season!


First of all, here's some mood music. This is the Cambridge Singers performing the Christmas carol "I Wonder As I Wander," which inspired the Older Lads-era Christmas-themed fic that I've written to share with you today. I love the song's bittersweet sound.

Three things you should know about my Christmas story:

1. I've never written a Christmas-themed story before! \o/

2. It's a crossover with BBC's Sherlock. It's very much Pros-centric, however, told from Bodie's POV, and it should work even if you don't know the other programme.

3. It's a sequel to a shorter little story I posted last month to the_safehouse, and it likely will make more sense if you give that one a quick peek. Here's the earlier piece: read "Father and Farther" on LJ.
