This was lovely; gentle, just enough angst to give me a little lurch, but with such a pleasing resolution - it was a delight to read.

I'm so glad you resisted the temptation to let Toby become a permanent fixture - much as I like the idea of one or the other of them having a pet, in real life it just seems to me that it would be too impractical.
