This was such fun - & somehow more tantalising for being posted in parts, although thankfully all 6 were already up before I started reading. I enjoyed it a lot, & it was fun interpretation of a classic. Probably my favourite was this:
"Thought you needed some alone time," Doyle said, folding his arms, not giving an inch.

"I did then," Bodie said brightly, wishing they could just skip this part. "I don't now."

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just skip the difficult parts...
