oh well, so I went to London zoo two days ago. Kids tired before we even got in. Queues. Expensive! Nice statue of Guy the Gorilla. Nice meerkats, very entertaining in that meerkatty way they have. No big beasts. Lions and tigers very slothful. Giraffes frankly depressed. The place is looking a bit run-down and tired truth to say. And all the ice-cream kiosks were closed :( so not a vanilla sandwich to be seen. But I still thought of B&D and smiled to myself in the spring sunshine ...
