Very creative way to address 'gluttony' and yet work it into a compelling bit of personal interaction. Given the topic, it would have been very easy to drop into farce mode. On the contrary, this was so balanced and enjoyable. Both perspectives invoked the reader's sympathy, so the resolution of the difficulty was a welcome relief.
