Many thanks to everyone who took part in the Discovered On A Gangplank Pros challenge - Pieces of eight and jolly rogerers to you all! Not only was it fun, but there is some lovely new Prosfic around, and a few rather fab new icons...

All Discovered On A Gangplank entries have now been archived to the DiaLJ User Info page. This means that if you would like to go back and see the fic, icons and so on from this challenge, all you need to do is click on the miniature banner on the User Info page. (This'll seem a lot more useful after we've run a few more challenges, of course...*g*)

If any of the contributors would like to gack the Challenge Icon (credit to empty_mirrors) then please do, as a thank you for taking part!

And finally... well... the world keeps spinning and the year is moving on... Keep your eyes out for the next DiaLJ challenge (and ideas for challenges are always welcome - just send either empty_mirrors or myself an email - addresses on the user info page)

Well, in theory we could do a combo I guess... The halloween one is already on the cards (tarot cards, presumably *g*) but there's no reason we couldn't do Guy Fawkes quick on the heels of it for the week after - remember, remember the fifth of November... Yes! - there, I have the nod from my partner-in... non-crime?...anyway, like the man from Del Monte, empty_mirrors says yes... *g* Good plan! Halloween first, Guy Fawkes night the week after. Yeay. Now, go write *g*

Sounds good to me!! And, of course, by combo I meant that we could pick one or the other, not combine the two. ( Though I think there should be a special prize if smn did *g*).

Loved Bonfire Night as a child. One of those peculiarly British things that when you explain it to a foreigner "Wait, he tried to blow up Parliament and you celebrate that with hot soup and burning effegies?" sounds even more peculiar!

Hee - it's true. I get very weird looks when I try and explain bonfire night over here! They tend to think that I'm being very quaint I think *g*
