What a happy little story. You managed to combine the best of before and after canon. I maintain there aren't enough "early days" stories for my tastes. I want to read more about how the sparks must have flown when B & D met, and your intro definitely scratched that itch. I also really enjoyed the future you envisioned for the lads--not perfect (with B's lungs), but infinitely manageable. The important things are they were together and happy. Thank you for that.
