Seriously, though, I loved the line about Bodie not wanting to be an alternative to fear, about Doyle falling and Bodie catching him. I love that you captured their lives are largely about surviving fire and blood, and was especially appreciative of the way you pulled it all together with the final paragraph (especially the bit about "for as long as he could hold on"--lovely!).
Final bonus--protective Bodie; snarky, capable, yet ultimately vulnerable (at least for the moment) Doyle. What a happy, happy thing.
