No, I did my first degree at Manchester Uni, then a PGCE in Leeds, then my MA here in Fairbanks! But I wasn't studying ice back then at all... *g* And actually there are more people studying ice these days than you might think - someone said it was melting, and now everyone and their dog wants to check. (Though the dogs mostly just get in the way...) Actually I'm going to do research this summer at the Scott Polar Research Centre in Cambridge - and that place is all about the ice!
