September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. No, it really is, and their website is here just to prove it. So we thought that we should do something to celebrate this fact... Plus we wanted to start off with a fun, slightly silly challenge. *g* Ooh ahhrr and all that.

For International Talk Like A Pirate Day we would like to post stories, artwork, icons, anything really in which is included something related to pirates. It might just be the ocean, it could be buried treasure (they call that booty, right?), rum or other forms of grog, it could involve a parrot and a first mate, rogerRoger the cabin boy, or just the lads dressed up as pirates. Well I don't know why they'd be dressed up like pirates, but think of the potential for leather boots, tight breeches, and for the wind to be flowing through loose cotton shirts and across... and ... um... swords and stuff. *g*

So if you would like to create something that crosses Bodie, Doyle and/or CI5 with something vaguely Pirate-like, then please comment below, just so we have a vague idea of how many people are playing, and be prepared to either post your own piece at your leisure some time on September 19th, or send it to either of the mods for posting (if you'd just rather, or if you don't have a livejournal account). And if there's an emergency or you don't get done after all - no big deal, this is just for fun, there's obligation to follow through, although we really hope you do!
