Summary: George Cowley's reality & dreams. Thanks to Zoe & Francis.
Note: This can be a B/C or B&C vid - YMMV.
Note2: Vids should be right-clicked & saved for best performance.

The idea for this vid came from a determination to use this song and a request for a Cowley vid - preferably B/C. Since I don't *do* B/C - this was quite a challenge for me. Please don't let that scare you away - I ended up enjoying the making of this vid very much. I hope it works for you, whatever the relationship you see between The Cow & The Blue-Eyed Boy :D

Such a handsome young man was the major!

Thanks for the triple treat.

Being someone who cannot abide the Cowley/Bodie thing, I was pleasantly surprised. This was brilliantly done and I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you and well done.

I imagine the B/C fans are happy! *g* Nicely done--the transitions from young Cowley to old are wonderful. I especially liked the "devil's water" bit. You've given Cowley a very intriguing past!

Thank you!

Though I'm not a B/C fan, I am rather a fan of Gordon Jackson and this is a nice showcase for his character. It's nice to see the footage of a younger Cow, and you've integrated it well within the vid.

Nope, not a B/C girl either, but I liked seeing the younger Cowley too! Thank you!

Okay, I have to confess Cowley & Bodie =really= do not work for me. But honestly, you've made the most compelling case possible. You managed to capture some lovely wistful looks on the part of the major. And you used clips of him from The Great Escape, which is near and dear to my heart because of a story I'm working on. So brava, my dear. Brava!

I go more for the friendship/father bit, too and B/C doesn't work for me but this was cleverly done and wasn't our Gordon a good looking lad when he was younger? Very well done even of not my cup of tea, thank you and a happy New Year!

Excellent

I love coincidences. I heard this song on my car radio for the first time last month and knew it was unlikely that I would hear it again...I seldom listen to radio. But the lyrics caught me and I found myself listening very carefully. I didn't remember the title or the singers so when I opened this vid it was a total surprise and pleasure.

Thank you.

Sorry for commenting so late; I was vacationing in the country with relatively little access to Internet (due to the constant interferences of other rabid users) and I didn't check this page regularly), but I had already watched the two first drafts of the vid and enjoyed it immensely. As an unpenitent Cowley's fan, I positively loved the pictures of him young (though I think he is still more handsome old!).

Thanks thousand times.

I don't see this so much as Bodie/Cowley - more a examination of Cowley, his past, and the conflicted feelings he's got towards Bodie (which *could* be fatherly... or not). But Bodie for his part seems utterly oblivious, lol! And I don't get the impression Cowley would particularly want him to ever clue in.

In any case, I loved the vid, especially the way you interwove the past and the future. It's one I've watched several times now (and so high time I got around to commenting on it!).
