Brilliant response to the challenge word. Each time I read it I discover more to appreciate. For now I'll just mention how Ray conveys that he loves Bodie with a look: He stared at Bodie, willing him to see everything, to see what Doyle had never fully acknowledged existed. Willing him to step back from the brink of disaster. I'm so glad that Bodie can read Ray's looks! Thanks for this wonderful story.
