I must admit straight off that I nearly didn't read this story when I realised the set-up. I'm claustrophobic and that place where you have them trapped (I can't even bring myself to write the c-word in this context), that's my very worst fear. But because I like your other fics I carried on reading, with trepidation and my finger on the back button!
And I was glad I did because it's a lovely story when you concentrate on the relationship dynamic and don't dwell on the situation too much. B and D's forced "embrace" and emotional closeness are very moving. Also, I might be the only one here who read the ending pessimistically and was satisfied with it that way. It just seemed to fit the rest of the story. Though I'll hardly complain if you write a happy sequel!
