Wish I'd heard of the German dish Sausages in a Nightgown before I wrote this.
And just what is wrong with good old-fashioned toad-in-the-hole, eh? Eh?
Worship the Cow!
He does come uncomfortably close to, at the very least, playing God.
she was right that CI5 had a very scary brief. No warrants, minimal oversight, people held with pressing charges.
I did find myself wondering, in the opening of that ep, where they burst into the villain's manion and destroy a great deal of his personal property, who exactly was going to pay for this. The taxpayer? Or does CI5 have the right to destroy property without compensation if the owner is considered suspicious? It annoyed me that, given that they finally had the chance to address this issue head-on, they chose instead to create a straw woman opposition AND to muddy the waters by introducing a misogynistic note of "How dare this WOMAN tell Cowley he's wrong?" And they could only get C15 off the hook by having the villains be unbelievably, mind-bogglingly stupid, in spite of having a supposedly unfairly top-notch lawyer. You'd think he, at least, would have advised them to wait until after the trial before exacting revenge...
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback
