I thought this was a wonderful, beautifully written story - and yes, a real sensual experience and I loved it.
And I think you're one of the few writers who actually gets Doyle *right* - you write him as he is, or at least as I see him: part-idealist/philosopher, part-gypsy, part-sex bomb, part-all kinds of things, but not the whimpy, selfish sort of character which you sometimes read about:
