::peers under lappy::
::shakes lappy::
You wouldn't, would you? You're a sweet kind nice soul... I've got mince pies, cookies, bad sherry, what'll it take, huh? ::flutters eyelashes::

Date: 2008-12-23 12:49 am (UTC)Splendid and tricksy follow-up though this is, I am not going to beg you for a sequel to put it all right. Because I know that you wouldn't be so cruel as to leave them and us hanging like this. And I'm talking to Miss Drayce here, so the Vixen can just go wash her hair for a few minutes or something. Look at my face. Do you want to see me cry? Didn't think so. *eg*
trap you in the chimney nook, screaming for your virtue like some Victorian virgin
I'm going to bed now so if you need this image I'm afraid it'll be with me for the next few hours. I'll return it tomorrow, scrubbed and shiny, I promise.
Thanks for chucking in a curveball with this - always good to have the old expectations given a rattle ♥

Date: 2008-12-23 01:41 am (UTC)Thankfully I have a vivid imagination. Debbie sends him packing, he goes home, Doyle knocks him flat and then...

Date: 2008-12-23 01:45 am (UTC)Poor lads! You've got to make it right for them (and us)! Please?

Date: 2008-12-23 05:30 am (UTC)Though there is something appealing to be said about open-ended, possibly painful endings... *embraces her inner masochist*Otherwise, loved Bodie being all think-y, and Doyle being all think-y too, and things backfiring. Also loved the humour which, as always, is one of the hallmarks of your work. Anson at the beginning, Doyle's "it's twue, it's twue"... and "trap you in the chimney nook, screaming for your virtue like some Victorian virgin" is priceless, positively priceless. And the last bit of dialogue had me holding my breath, so I forgive you for the open ending after all. *g*

Date: 2008-12-23 06:07 am (UTC)Ok, missy - you better write another one and make for a happy ending. Otherwise I'll be forced to send not only the owls after you but the zombie bunnies as well. And the beavers!

Lovely as always!

Thank you for two wonderful posts today (yesterday?), you've utterly spoilt us!

Date: 2008-12-23 11:42 am (UTC)Thanks for the story, but not for the idea that now I have to go to work with poor Bodie getting what he deserves: nothing.
Part three..?

Oooh thank you for liking that image. It was the one that made me giggle when I thought of it. *g*
Alright, I'll admit it, there's already a third part. It should go up at the Safehouse today if I can find some time to edit.
I had to cut through the Christmas sugar. Thanks for reading Petal. ♥

Date: 2008-12-23 03:23 pm (UTC)Part three should go up at the Safehouse today... It has nothing to do with Debbie... I, erm... shouldn't be allowed to write stuff at 1:00am in the morning.
Thanks for reading. :D

Date: 2008-12-23 03:24 pm (UTC)Part three should be posted to the Safehouse later today... Erm... Yeah.

Date: 2008-12-23 03:31 pm (UTC)But I like owls, bunnies and beavers. *pets them*
So, no sympathy for Bodie eh? He *knows* that Doyle isn't interested in him so he's just trying to protect what he already has with him by making light of his own feelings. Yeah, stupid, but we've all done stupid crap like that at some stage.
I've written part three. If I can find some time to get it edited it will be posted to the Safehouse later. Erm... *sniggers* *scarpers*
Thank you for reading Petal. ♥

Actually I've already written a third part, I just didn't have time to post it on my assigned day. It should go up later at the Safehouse if I can find the time to edit it... Erm... *sniggers in an evil fashion*
Thank you for reading and for the kind comment. :D

Date: 2008-12-23 03:39 pm (UTC)I'm used to coal... That's what happens when I let the Vixen write a story... Although that usually involves trained teams of angst monkeys so we got off light. *g*
Part three has been written... Erm, my brain took a left turn again. It should be posted at the Safehouse today if I can find time to edit it.
Thanks for reading. ♥

I'm alternating between laughing like a drain and resisting the urge to hide underneath a rock at the thought of part three... Ahem...

Thanks for reading. :D
Bit more catching up (go me!)
Date: 2009-01-25 02:09 am (UTC)He really is his own worst enemy isn't he, jumping to conclusions without any proof and stomping over his chances.
*kicks hhim again for good measure* (although I hope he forgives me for that)
Again I enjoyed this especially as it really ups the angst quotient for us readers. And I do like some angst before a happy ending and I am going to hope that when I get caught up everywhere a happy ending will appear *looks hopeful*.
Thank you again ♥
Re: Bit more catching up (go me!)
Date: 2009-01-25 06:47 am (UTC)He's already decided that what he has is precious to him... It takes a lot of guts to risk a relationship when it's the only one you really have... Well, at least I think so and apparently Bodie agrees with me. *whistles*
Ah... yes. *whistles some more*
Thanks for reading, Petal! ♥

Date: 2009-10-15 05:11 pm (UTC)There's a Paul Simon song called "Something so Right" that has these lines:
When something goes wrong
I'm the first to admit it
I'm the first to admit it
And the last one to know
when something goes right
Well it's likely to lose me, mm
It's apt to confuse me
It's such an unusual sight
I think Bodie would have to be able to *think* that Doyle could return his interest before he could stop himself from jumping to this sort of conclusion.
Thanks for reading. :D
