This is really by way of being a squee and a yeay, and in the hope that as many Pros-y people will see it as possible (and it's nothing to do with me really, except for the sound of happiness over in this corner.. *g*)

[livejournal.com profile] recycledmedia is a Pros slash fan of old, who was making Pros vids long, long before I came along - in fact they were mostly unavailable by then (about 2005) except perhaps on video. Then she posted a few to her lj as a sort of Christmas present for her flist, and I downloaded some of them - and ohhhh!

I fell totally in love with Not A Day Goes By, which almost made me cry and Where Are You Now?, and hee for Monkey in the Middle, and I was a wee bit haunted by Saints and Angels, and...

...and now they're available to be downloaded again!

These are 10 vids that may be new to you (and some will be new to me, so I'm looking forward to downloading those too...), found at the link above:
Because You Love Me
Burn
If Heaven
Missing
Monkey in the Middle
My Last Breath
Not a Day Goes By
Saints and Angels
Where Are You Now? (Media West 2004 1st Single fandom slash)
You Don't
You Made Me That Way

And do leave a quick thank you to let her know you've been to visit and/or download - this is another of our Pros-y and great grandmothers! Thank you [livejournal.com profile] recycledmedia! *vbg*

She is a fantastic vidder - I got a CD off her with all her Pros vids, plus a couple of multi-media. I adore I Just Knew (MM), so that's definitely worth watching too.

Terrific! Off to download all of her stuff! Thank you for the heads-up!

I am sooo blushing. The multi-fandom vids also include Pros clips:

I Just Knew - Media West 2004 1st place Multi-slash
Wild West Show - Media West 2004 2nd place Multi-slash
Passenger Seat - Media West 2005 1st place Multi-slash
When You Lie Next to Me - Media West 2006 1st place Multi-slash
Lot of Leaving Left to Do
You're Looking Hot Tonight

I plan on more vids (hopefully soon) but am working through leftover issues from broken necks and a dead video card.

Thanks again for the lovely recs!

I'm lucky enough to have most of these (in fact I might have all of them!) on dvd, and I can thoroughly recommend them.

[livejournal.com profile] recycledmedia is a great vidder and it's lovely to see her around again (waves to Barb!)

I fell totally in love with Not A Day Goes By, which almost made me cry and Where Are You Now?,

I did cry the first time I saw 'Where Are You Now', and I don't mind admitting it!

This is great news! Thank you for the link. A whole wealth of lovely new old vids - 'classic' I'm sure is a better description.

(But bad news for my download limit, which is starting to creak every month now.)

It will take some time to download and watch them - but I'm very happy about it!
Thank you so much for the vids - and the post!

Edit: ...and I'm not sure if I would kick you in the a... for that 'grandmother' thingy... :-P

Thanks for the wonderful vids. I've seen many of yours at MediaWest over the years. You always do a fantastic job no matter the fandom. I hope your health issues are resolved and your video issues too! Take care and thank you for sharing your talent.

Help! I don't seem to be able to either save or open these files. I go through all the motions, wait for the download to complete and then, 30 minutes later, I get a warning saying the file might damage my computer. It's not fair. Recycledmedia mentions changing the extension from .dat to .avi but that means nothing to me. Anyone got any suggestions ..... pleeeeease?

I think I will never get over it becoming 5..... (in so many years... :-/) and you're talking about Pros grandmothers...

Thanks. The problem didn't seem to be related to security - more about the file type. If I was computer literate then I might realise that I had downloaded the file in the wrong format ie as a data file rather than a vid. I had already tried, on one of my many previous attempts this evening, to save under 'all files' but I have now tried typing in the .avi bit like wot you have done. Fingers crossed xxxx

I can open the .avi with the VLC player, but also the original .dat with the KMPlayer...
It really is a horror with all those formats!

I'm glad you got it worked out. The reason I made them .dat is that it gives a little layer of protection from TPTB when their bots search for video files. It's a simple matter to change the file extension to .avi and it returns to being a vid instead of a data file. If I had my own server, it wouldn't matter, but sometimes Megaupload catches onto the fact that it's a vid and removes it...like a pirated copy of a movie. Please let me know if you have any problems and I'll re-upload in a different format.

(waves back!) I think you do have all of them, but feel free to download anyway. :)

My hubby got teary the first time he watched 'Where Are You Now'. He's become a big Pros fan and keeps asking when I'll get more MS stuff. He's so disappointed that Lewis is no longer acting.

As long as someone knows and can point you in the right direction, you're fine. :) Apparently I'm a geeky grandmother. I used to teach stitchery, but now I'd rather fiddle with the computer. We (my son) and I are in the process of building a new computer and I'm forced to be constantly learning. Sometimes it's just confusing. :) Please let me know if you like the vids and thanks for going through all the trouble to download.

LOL! As I said above, the KMPlayer just opened when I clicked the .dat file...
I had totally forgotten about it!

And I can highly rec the VLC media player! He knows how to handle a lot of formats!!!

As so many people know (b/c I've said it so many times), Wild West Show was the first time ever, that I saw Bodie and Doyle. It's so special to me that I can't adequately explain it. Needless to say, it's a comfort vid I retreat to when the World is Just Too Much for me to handle. I'm so grateful to have on disc, all recycledmedia's Pros vids and bunches of her multimedia ones.

I didn't recognize the file format, but tested the first one, and it plays without a hitch in GOMplayer, so no problem there!
Can't wait to watch!

Please let me know what you think.

I think the vids are terrific, every single one. I am very picky about the music the vidders choose and often a vid does not work for me because I think the music just doesn´t fit. I have discussed this a couple of times with friends and like me they prefer a good song to 100% fitting lyrics as we, who don´t speak English as a first language usually don´t care much about lyrics anyway.

In your case both is perfect, the lyrics are wonderful for slash vids and I have a soft spot for country music too. If I would need to choose I´d say I like Missing and Burn best, but the rest follows very closely. I also love the talking bits in the vids and the slash aspects. Thank you so much again for making them available!

Thanks for the feedback! I listen for slashability every time I hear a new song. :) I'm so glad you're enjoying them!
