It’s August, it’s the silly season, and I should be packing to go away on holiday, but I couldn’t resist the challenge. Being a novice, I was caught LBW and out for a duck by more seasoned players at the close of yesterday's play, but thanks to a generous umpire's decision, here it is anyway, my errant ficlet starting with ‘thought’.
