When one challenge closes, another challenge begins - but this year I could do with a bit of help! I've got various lists of ideas for our Christmas/Winter/Solstice/LetThereBeLight-type calendar celebration, but my brain is breaking this year, and I can't decide which one to use.

Even worse, I have yet again left it too late to ask anyone to do the banner artwork for the challenge, and although I might manage something myself, I can't do it right now, and I'm soooo short on time before 1st December that I'm a bit scared (well okay, I'll be brave, but still....)

So - I wondered if anyone/everyone/help please! might be up for a pre-challenge challenge? I will post the calendar itself tomorrow, for everyone to grab their preferred dates, but shall we have a wee theme/banner mini-challenge in the meantime?

There are two parts to this:
Part 1 - Please post suggestions for this year's challenge theme! You can see what we've already had over on the User Info page, where all the previous challenge banners are posted. Please post these suggestions in the comments to this post, as inspiration for Part 2!

Part 2 - If you're an artistic type (and I know lots of people are *g*) then your suggestion could take the form of a possible banner for this year's challenge. Please post possible banners to [livejournal.com profile] discoveredinalj up until midnight Sunday 27th November, lads' time. And obv you can make as many suggestions/banners as you like/have time/inspiration for.

Then we'll have a poll-competition to see which idea most people go for, and I'll post the ultimate theme and banner on Wednesday 30th November, all ready to go.
