Have two clerihews - short and sweet but on topic...

Paper Chains. Two linked clerihews.

Agent 4.5, one Ray Doyle,
Really knew how to keep 3.7's emotions on the boil.
Skilled in shooting, banter and art,
He wove stranded chains around Bodie's heart.

Agent 3.7, named just Bodie,
Knew he was trapped but in romantic mode he
Cherished the paper chains wrapping him tightly.
They made life like Christmas not once a year but nightly.



  



This post is earlier than I'd intended and the final post might or might not be somewhat delayed because my husband has just announced that we are going out... however, I promise it will be with you before midnight GMT!

Thank you! I had fun with the icons. I seem to have got addicted to Fireworks and Picnik. Manipulating pictures is quite therapeutic!

Well, unless you're like me - an English teacher - there's no real reason why you should definitely know about them. They're fun - perfectly serious content (if you want) in a kind of tongue-in-cheek format. You can google them to find out more. Glad to have contributed to your education... *g*

Clerihews are fun. You can be as silly as you like, especially with the second line and its lack of structured length. There's plenty of information about them on wikipedia, but I know them from my teaching days.
