Done, done, done, done! *happy dance*

I expect you've all forgotten by now that I was meant to post something on the 13th and ended up only posting half a fic, because I was rather overambitious and it all just got away from me. But anyway, I have FINISHED it now, finally, so all I can say is that I am really sorry it wasn't done on time, and I hope you all enjoy it! Thank you to those people who have read bits already and encouraged me with their comments.

Merry (belated) Christmas, and Happy New Year!

YAY! You got to finish it!!!

I have to get some things done today so I'll have to read over the weekend, but I'm *really* looking forward to this.

Xmas AND New Year's present! Thanks :D

I haven't forgotten. I have been keeping up with it. So I only had three chapters to read today (wail!)

Thoroughly enjoyed it, and fascinating to see where it ended up. Nice catch on the surname Mason! And the cliff-hanger on chapter 17 was just evil. Happily, I had 16 to re-read to calm me down.

Great that it's on AO3 and I can transfer it painlessly to my Kindle. Waaah! that I'm so behind on reading that it will be well into January before I get to it - but I promise to read and comment.

That's the trouble with novel length fics - I think they're wonderful and really really look forward to them, but you can't exactly read them over breakfast!!

Oh oh oh! Lovely, thank you!

I purposely didn't read a word; I wanted to save it as a treat for myself when you'd finished. YaY! I'm really looking forward to reading it this weekend - congratulations on finishing, and totally no need to apologise for anything, goodness no! Thank you for writing and sharing!

Oh, this is good news. I began reading it a few days ago and then realised there was more to come so I thought I'd wait for the whole story. Thanks for letting us know.

It was an effort but I worked out how to put this in my new e-reader :) Now I look forward very much to reading it, thanks, it's very long, no wonder you couldn't make your deadline. Never mind better later than never!

I'm looking forward to reading this all through, but I'm just jumping in with my comm mod's hat on to say eeep! I'm afraid that if I'd seen this earlier I would have asked you to take it down and post again at the end of the Discovered in a Christmas Tree challenge. The whole design and point of our Dialj Christmas calendar challenge is that everyone has a day all to themselves, to post whatever they like - it's all about them. So posting on someone else's day is kind of gazzumping them, and sometimes it can make a real difference to that person and their posts. It doesn't look like any harm was done this time, as Roven and Smirra just made the one post, but please keep an eye on challenge guidelines... Most of the Dialj challenges are fairly loose, except for having deadlines, but the Christmas Calendar is something a bit special, and it's very carefully organised and arranged so that everyone gets their own space. I hate being even slightly grumpy, but it's not fair on other people if I don't let you know...

Happy New Year! (It just is, here, and I was just off to bed when I checked my email again...)

No, don't take it down now, especially with the comments you've had - I just needed to mention it for next time (which is admittedly a year away, but still...*g*) And do feel free to ask anything, any time - that's what mods are for! *g*

Oh wow! That was well worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the way you brought in all the familiar names as well.

Thank you for a lovely long read.

That was really excellent - thank you so much! I enjoyed every moment, and pouted slightly when I got to the end *g*

Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing with us.

Phew, I've finished. I must say I'm so impressed too! It's an epic effort and you have written it beautifully. Even though I am a gen writer I can appreciate a good slash story when I read it and it's even easier when it is AU. I rarely read AU's because I am sooooo hooked on the lads being Ci5 agents but I might have to change that practise. You have opened the door so to speak. I really enjoyed the way you used the speech of the era and I appreciate you must have done a lot of research. Your attention to detail was amazing.
