Here are a few manips with my own Little Lads, and Catlixe invaluable help for managing the eyes color. Would you believe Bodie and Doyle had exchanged their eye color? Thank you to Francis Kerst for pointing to me that, even if spouses do exchange a lot of things between them, they certainly can't exchange their eye color...

Smashing photos - I can never get a camera to focus on things so well, and if these are the size I think, they must have been hard. Did you - or catlixe - repaint the dolls, or repaint the images? Either way, very well done. Doyle's eyes are positively glowing in the last one.

And sweet captions. I agree, multiple Doyles sounds an excellent idea.

Ah ah! They are lovely both! I will never dare to post my B/C pair: nobody would recognize them. I think I'd vote for the first Doyle, though I like him better with shorter hair in the show.

We did both. The first (and second, it's the same) pics has been digitally modified, and the last one (the Doyle with darker hair) has been repainted by Catlixe, who deliberately used a glowing color to emphasize it, as the figures are 12 inches.
As for the pictures quality, it's a fluke! I'm a very bad photographer. Normally my pics are blurred, although it helps to use motionless subjects, LOL. You should see the mess I do with my cats...
I do hope to learn to use my camera better. It has a lot of settings but for now I just use "auto". Sigh.

My Little Lads are far from being exact lookalikes of the real ones either. But it's a support for my fantasy, as I said. And they are lovely indeed, at least to my biaised eye. I like both versions of Doyle, but I do have a sligh preference for the second, with the shorter hair. To me, he looks more Doyle-ish.

Doyle has auburn hair in the show, though it depends much of the light. To my eyes the first one is more Doylish but it's nice to be able to see different aspects of the character. Now you need a second Bodie, not to leave a Doyle alone when the situation is not ripe for threesomes! (I can't believe I am writing this).

And wow, two Doyles - now that can't be bad (maybe for the villains... *g*) I'm not sure if I have a preference, I think they might be time-passing Doyle's - the bottom one from earlier in the series, when his hair was shorter, and the first one from later on! Although I do wonder if the lads have swapped clothes - it's usually Bodie imagined in the tuxedo and more formal clothes, and Doyle who has his shirt open to the waist (even with a white cardigan! *g*)

Oh, see I never think of him as having auburn hair - to my eyes it's alot like mine, in that it's basically brown but if the light is right it catches a certain reddish tone in it and makes it look brighter!

Ah, the story behind the clothes. You're perfectly right, of course. But I did these pics in a hurry, not intending to use them at the time. I had Doyle in a tux for his wedding (with Bodie, of course), then that same day I received the shirt which is very close to one Bodie wears in the episodes (yes, yes! can't remember the title now, but he does wear a shirt very much like this one). So I put it on him, and it wouldn't fasten as all the little closure were dead (hence the very fair price I paid for it...) and it was very wrinkled. I made a few pics, and voilà! Bodie was intended to wear the white tux (to copy the white jacket he has in The Rack, where Doyle wears a dark striped suit) but with a more formal shirt - and closed to the chin!
That's why I needed a "clever" caption to explain this!

The dolls are from the Mattel line "My Scene", with some alterations. For instance, second Doyle was intended to be a character of color! He had a beard and brown eyes, and a slightly more tanned skin color. But the face mould is the same for the whole series. Catlixe repainted his eyes and erased the goatie. She also painted blue my second Bodie's eyes, which were green.
Strangely, the first Doyle does have green eyes, but they seemed blue in my pic, and Catlixe had to digitally alter them.
Glad you like them. Like Moonlightmead said, the Little Lads are spreading around the world. A nice pastime!
