Bodie and Doyle stood outsite the building on an old military tower, when it started to snow. They were soaked and frustrated. And did I mentioned that there was snow? Lots of snow.

And the whole time they were watched.

Suddenly Bodie noticed a movement

"There Doyle! Did you see it?"

But Doyle didn't see it. "What do you mean, Bodie?" "I'll show you after we had a shower and changed", Bodie answered and they switched shift with Lucas and McCabe.

Thirty minutes later they met once more outside  and walked the short way to the forest.

"Look, Doyle. Can you see it now?" "Oh", said Doyle. "It is like the line in that poem from Walter de la Mare. The Robin with his burning breast."

And there it was, the Robin with the burning breast.

My prompt was The Robin With The Buring Breast.
I took the Red Robin pictures from NABU.

That was enchanting! Such a clever use of the prompt! I'm not surprised the little robin was watching them - they're very nice to look at in their snowy surroundings. Very nicely done! :-)

The Robin is beautiful! And I love especially the second last picture.
This is all very sweet! And it reminds me of "...deep inside you're a big softie, Bodie!" :-)
I've made an icon for you.

Really great job. Love the implications of the story. Did you use some of the scenes from the episode, Long Shot to get your pictures? You certainly chose them well, and they looked great. Thanks so much for posting.

Oh so sweet... I'm melting here! How very clever of you and I love very much the contrast between the black & white and the warm colours of the robin, not to mention the warm and fuzzy feeling the second to the last image gives me, with the lads marvelling at the bird :)
Well done!
And what a lovely icon Firle has created for you!

Oh, very well done. And how nice to see a real robin, after the red-breasted thrushes that usurp the name in the US!
