DISCOVERED IN A BOX OF BAUBLES, December 17 – The ongoing adventures of my Little Lads

Bodie and Doyle have decided to celebrate Christmas with a few friends. First, they go to their gym to be in as good a shape as possible.

Here they get the visit of their friend who just won a medal at the last Paralympic competition.

Then Doyle wants to give a Christmas gift to Bodie, who had been saying for a while that he wanted a cat. So they go to the nearest shelter and look at all the cats there.

But he also loves this one:


Finally, they decide to take this one home!

Alas, you can’t get them all out of there… Not that they look unhappy in this shelter, LOL!

On Christmas day, They cook together a delicious meal and decide to eat it in the kitchen.

And dessert!

When they are finished, they go and relax in their new winter garden, which Bodie had specially built for Doyle. And they are kind enough to share it with friends, too.

Wow, again so much detail! I love the cat Bodie chose - the expression on its face is just like Doyle, somehow. *g* (The first one he looked at looks like Bodie too - what a shame they couldn't have both!)

I thought the first one looked like Bodie, too, that why I chose him! And the one they took home is linked to a very sad event in my household, intended as an homage to our 9 years old black and white cat, whose markings were a bit like this one, and who died two months ago from a sudden and quick cancer.
To tell the truth, that's what gave me the idea to do something about B and D adopting a cat. Glad people liked it!

Yep. I should have added a few men to the mix, but (don't tell anyone) I was too pressed for time and/or too lazy to remove all of the dolls normally residing in the winter garden...
As for the paralympic Barbie, I love her very much and I was glad to find a way to include her in a story about The Lads.
Now, to think of a good new idea for next year...

The cats are mostly Japanese miniature which are now very hard to find, and very expensive for some (the cat in the litter box that Bodie takes home - you wouldn't believe how expensive he is now, when I paid only a few dollars to get him 15 years or so ago).

Oh, a gym is a very good idea. And it is good to see that they still holding hands while all the women are in the winter garden.
