Thank you so much for the kind comment! I hesitated for ages about the ending, but this seemed a neat solution (otherwise I didn't know how far to try and take them before stopping). I'm so glad you think it works all right, and that you like that line - it was pretty much my original stopping-point, and I am quite fond of it really - I wanted to suggest that it's all about their trusting one another and communicating, paralleling they way they do that in their working lives. And of course meeting emotionally as well as physically - well that was the idea, anyway!
