Doyle looked down on his achievements with satisfaction.

The first Christmas biscuits were ready, the Swiss roll for Bodie was almost done, and now he could start on the dough for the next tray.

The first Christmas biscuits were ready, the Swiss roll for Bodie was almost done, and now he could start on the dough for the next tray.
After that, he would decorate the heart-shaped biscuits he made for Bodie with orange marmalade.

He turned around and opened the refrigerator door. While he was looking for the eggs and butter, he heard the kitchen door open.

"Oi, Ray. You must help me. I can't get the beard strapped on, and you have to tell me if I look ridiculous." Bodie stood in the doorway, holding the fake beard and looking very insecure.

Doyle closed the fridge door and stepped back to the table. "Hmm, you look like you need a Christmas biscuit. And a helping hand", Doyle answered. "Help yourself to the biscuit, and I'll help you with the beard."

Bodie beamed and quickly went to the table. He didn't need to be told twice.
Smiling, Doyle walked around the table, stopped behind Bodie and helped him with the beard.

When he finished, he started giggling. "You know what, love? You don't look ridiculous, you look great. You're the sexiest Santa I've ever seen. You'll look great at the CI5 Christmas Party in our pub."

"Do you mean that, Ray? I must admit I'm not feeling too well with that beard. I wish I didn't have to wear it. It itches and tickles my nose."
"What do you mean, it itches? I think I have to test it for myself. You know, I always fancied a kiss from Santa."
