I love the whole bit with the scarf - has me wondering if that's the same scarf Doyle wears later on in the series. I really liked your touchy, crabby Doyle, trying to make little overtures and then blowing it all up. Very much in line with the fireworks, actually.
My favorite line, though, was this one: "Bodie still had enough gratitude in him at that point to make it Doyle being Doyle, albeit at his most wanker-ish."
