Good morning everybody! I'm back with news from Bodie if you're still interested. And you better be after pestering me like that last night. *Looks apologetically at byslantedlight* Hope it's ok without prompts but there's a conspiracy going out there! At least I used my prompt with the first drabble *looks at no one in particular who's prompt was "ivy"* So without further ado:

Hunting

Bodie leaned against the car for a moment to steady himself and calm his frantic heartbeat. Whoever had gotten at Doyle must have come from behind or he wouldn’t have had a chance. Bloody Doyle – why didn’t he wait for him. He gave the roof of the car a vicious punch, cursing his partner under his breath. Then he slowly turned around until he faced a narrow side lane right across the street. He could feel Doyle’s presence like a beacon in the night. Without further thought he grabbed his gun and followed the steady pull. The hunt had begun.

It's fine to write drabbles with other prompts, no worries - it's just a drabble weekend in general. Although technically, what with a drabble being a complete story in 100 words, a sequel of three isn't really a drabble any more, but... Writing's writing, right? *g*

This is a lovely observation of Bodie's character. I can see him punching that poor car. The hunt has most definitely begun...

But you asked for one so you should use it! All you have to do is mention the bloody word. Like in "poison ivy" - it itches when you fall into it, what more do you need to know about it?

Anyway, glad you're still following my dribble of drabbles and enjoy them.

Thank you! I was fun to write - especially as I didn't really have a plan after the first one. It just gained momentum all by itself.
