I've got to post this or it won't get done before I leave for CQ. So...here's my contribution for the Discovered in a Newspaper challenge. It has been edited, but not quite as thoroughly as I prefer it to be. I apologize in advance for any errors!

This is a...well, it is a sequel to my Jubilee June story "Keepsake"...and it is a prequel to my Jubilee June story "Keepsake". *g* It can be read on its own, however. Confused? Ah, well, read on....

I couldn't resist. I had to post this story today. It's Friday the Thirteenth!

Hopefully that's a good omen. But if there are any glitches in this story it's entirely my fault for not sending it back to Slanted Light for a final read.

Having loved everyone's reminiscences about Jubilee Day in June 1977 we thought we'd bring a bit more hard-core history into the July challenge. The inspiration for writers and artists and everyone this time is an actual newspaper article from July 1977 - and from The Times, no less... *g*
