Date: 2008-11-02 10:41 am (UTC)Hmmn - perhaps you could add that Charlie was shot in the left lung (may survive)
Also "Jack" in LAA was shot in the stomach and Doyle wavers his hand about his chances, I seem to recall...

Date: 2008-11-02 06:27 pm (UTC)Could be that any internal organs were missed and he has an infection from a dirty knife. His main problem seems to be a fever, and he'd have to be in IC with both his kidneys injured, I think, not just having a nurse hold his hand.

Date: 2008-11-02 06:43 pm (UTC)How many days do you think he was in hospital?
I always get confused at the timelines. Doyle's face was still in bad shape when he was released, but I'm not sure how much time passed between Bodie getting stabbed and Doyle getting beat up.
And yes, I think it was supposed to be a serious injury, though not necessarily life threatening.
