Happy New Year everyone! I don't know where you are, but 2009 has dawned cold and grey here, and I'm feeling in need of a little... warmth to start the year off properly...

...so here's another gem from the world of Pros zines, online for the first time, by kind permission of the author...

Yes, Suzan's artwork has been up at Circuit for a while now, and some of the other stories from the zine are also online - but not any of Elizabeth Holden's stories, which I love, so I'm really pleased she's given us special permission to put them up for Dialj this year! *g*

Lol - oh, she's on lj, she's fajrdrako, and do send her feedback either here on via her contact details! She wrote a Pros story for Never Far Apart (http://www.palelyloitering.com/zines/neverfarapart.htm) in 2007, and she mentions the lads occasionally in her lj, so she's not too far away, though I think she's mostly moved on to other things now...

And hee - the New Years Day pressies weren't planned I'm afraid - in fact I did some sneaky swapping around with extra content and my own day, to fill in an emergency gap... But it's Elizabeth Holden, so I'm thinking people won't mind! *g*

Not least because Zanzibar is a place I've long fantasised about, comes of growing up on the other shore of the Indian Ocean with a father who used to live in east Africa. But Elizabeth Holden's description is even more vivid than my imaginings, and putting Bodie there, and Doyle, I'll never fantasise about it in quite the same way again..

Oh I know, isn't the idea of the lads in Zanzibar just bliss! I used to fantasise about the Northern Hemisphere in general, from the other side of the other coast of the other shore of the Indian Ocean... Zanzibar sounded almost too magical, doesn't it! *sighs happily*
