Another Burns Night passed, another challenge over... Thank you again to everyone who took part, writers, readers and commenters all!

Writers... I'm not sure what's going on with the Pros archives just lately, even though we've left the archiving section/request on the comm trailers - in fact if any of the archivists are around, it'd be really good if you could comment below and let us know where you're up to!

ProsLib still seems to be archiving, although I'm not sure how "automatic" it is right now, or whether authors need to send stories themselves. I've heard that Circuit is picking up the stories, even though they're not actually being posted... but I don't know. So the trailer may be a bit misleading, at the moment, in suggesting that there is further archiving with no more effort from yourselves...

The safest way to make sure your story doesn't get lost in the depths of lj is probably to open an account and post it yourself to The Automated Hatstand, sister site to our old The Hatstand archive.

And as usual, we'll be linking them up to the Dialj User Info page... and I'm shutting up about the Dialj Bound zines, cos I've clearly not got there yet, but I still mean to... *g*

Otherwise... do keep your eye on this comm for the next Pros-y challenge... *g*

Proslib is archiving, but it would be enormously helpful if writers would send a copy direct -- I collect what I can but, like the Circuit archivist's, my RL is very demanding at the moment so I may well be missing things and really don't have time to hunt them down. Later in the year I hope to catch up. (The weekly newsletter will be a great help!)

So do you know any more specifically what's happening with Circuit (I don't mean her RL!) - anything at all, or is she pretty much away from the archive completely just now? We should maybe change the trailer, really, if that's so, or... something!

Yes, that would be great, thanks.

I'd be inclined to leave the trailer basically as is -- I don't have any first-hand knowledge of when CA will resume but I confidently expect that it will be!

However, reminding about Autohat is always good. Would it be possible to include that in the trailer as a reminder to authors? I'm constantly surprised by the things people miss that I thought were common knowledge -- and at what I miss myself, for that matter.

I know, I get so worried about "doing it right" by whoever the comm mod is that I forget other people aren't quite so... fretful. *g*

I've added your comment - though I took out your reference to Circuit if you don't mind, since it really is direct info I think we could do with right now! It's just that there've been so many new people writing for Pros lately, that I hate to mislead them as to whether their stories etc will be archived somewhere cos it might stop them archiving elsewhere themselves, you know? And I hate to think of Pros stories vanishing into the ether - I loved having so many in the archives when I was first in Pros (still do, actually... *g*)

Shall have a think and a chat with me co-mod about a way to include the Autohatstand info in the trailer...

Just jumping in here to say that I've just realised that we've got no info about the Auto Hatstand in the blurb for the_safehouse, so that's something I'll have to attend to asap.
