Love and other Misunderstandings.

*looks cautiously around* I know I didn't make it in here by closing time but the place still looks open for business so...
There was rather a lot of wine fueled making merry last night. When I *finally* got up this morning I found this in my WIP progress folder much to my surprise. Now edited to reflect something approaching the English language and posted here.

Date: 2009-02-15 07:27 pm (UTC)No, this isn't *that* story (I'm still wrestling that one to the ground). This story literally got written in the wee small hours of this morning.
I'm very glad you enjoyed it Petal. ♥ ¡Vive México!

Date: 2009-02-15 07:17 pm (UTC)I can hardly threaten to hit you from this position. I could threaten to bite you,
and
“I’m sorry Anson that it never crossed my mind that Murph would describe you as a great lover. Remind me to do that, Anson’ll have a bloody heart attack.”
*g* Thank you!

Date: 2009-02-15 07:31 pm (UTC)Isn't that one of the wonderful things about love though? *g*
Well Doyle's only human and how could he resist?
Thank you for reading. :D

Date: 2009-02-15 07:38 pm (UTC)I seem to be overly fond of misunderstandings myself. *g*
I'm really glad that you liked it, Petal. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 04:41 am (UTC)Frottage! Sorry, yes, I just like the way some words sound and how often do you get to yell that one? *g*
I've been working on something a bit more aggressive in this vein but I'm a bit stalled and this just sort of emerged from the bottom of a wineglass. *g*
Thank you for reading, Petal. ♥

Date: 2009-02-15 10:31 pm (UTC)Wheee! Pissy Doyle chained to Bodie's lap - you cunning evil wonderful woman you!
I wasn’t cut out for the priesthood, thought I might be in danger of throwing you to the floor and fucking you the moment I saw you again and all I got from you were withering eyebrows and the silent treatment.
That had me snorting with pleasure ::so ladylike *g*:: The whole thing is delish luv, thanks.

Date: 2009-02-16 04:44 am (UTC)As I said to Schnuffi the pissy Doyle story I'd mentioned elsewhere is still stalled somewhere near its last two paragraphs but I think that's why this happened. *g*
Yeah, that Priesthood comment just sort of snuck in there and it has to be admitted that Bodie is the owner of the finest withering eyebrows in the business.
Thanks for reading Petal. ♥

Date: 2009-02-15 11:49 pm (UTC)Lovely lovely lovely. Did I mention lovely? Mmmmmm....chained lads. Mmmmm....rubby lads. Mmmm....pissy Doyle and brooding Bodie.
I wasn’t cut out for the priesthood O RLY Doyle? *looks shifty*
I loved Bodie's withering eyebrows too.
Very happy over here Petal...thanks!

Date: 2009-02-16 04:46 am (UTC)Ah yes, rubby lads... I'm fond of that one too. *g*
Yeah that priesthood bit just wrote itself in. Probably should have been something about celibacy but c'mon, I'm only human. *whistles*
I really happy that you liked it Petal and thanks for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 04:52 am (UTC)Well Murph said he'd slept with someone... talented and Bodie, loyal to a fault, naturally *assumed* he meant Doyle. *vbg* All right so it was Anson 'cos I might have been a bit giggly from the wine consumption and I needed it to be someone who wouldn't occur to Bodie as an alternative for Murph to be rambling on about.
I'm so glad that you loved it Petal and thanks for reading! ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 06:25 pm (UTC)I do think it's part of the nature of love to assume that everyone must be equally besotted with your choice of love monkey. *g*
Thank you for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 06:28 pm (UTC)Well if you can't have them be cute on Valentine's day when can you?
Poor Anson, not very beloved in this fandom.
Thank you for the kind words. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 01:59 pm (UTC)Your fic has reduced me to incoherency, I fear. Jealous Bodie! Pissy Doyle!. Cuffs! That comment about priesthood! Withering brows! I been have reduced to such depths of incoherency, I am now abusing my exclamation marks. This fic deserves a re-read, and I definitely will be doing so once I post this comment.
Thanks for this! ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 06:31 pm (UTC)Well... it might have been influenced by certain conversations and the priesthood bit just wrote itself in. *g*
Thank you for the lovely kind words Petal. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 02:03 pm (UTC)This hit the spot just marvellous, thank you. and this bit -
“’Cos if you keep that up—”
Doyle sniggered.
“—I’m going to come in my trousers like some raw thirteen year old boy.”
“Good.”
I went straight from giggling like an eight-year-old to tongue hanging out at the hotness (I can't explain exactly what kink it is that you tapped into with that 'Good', but I can assure you it's there!)

Date: 2009-02-16 06:36 pm (UTC)Well, I have a long overdue birthday story to finish and deliver for one of our mutual friends. So yep, another one, with more... detail. *eg* I'm hoping to have it finished up soon.
Ah, sounds like you might share my frottage kink. There's something about them being so hot for each other that they can't even get their clothes off first... and them wanting the other one to feel that way of course.
Thank you for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-16 06:39 pm (UTC)I'm glad you liked it. Chaining them to each other might not be very hearts and flowers but I'm rather taken with the notion of situations where men *can't* walk away -- as they're so inclined to do -- but are forced to stay still and talk about it.
Thank you for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-17 04:34 pm (UTC)I've an older friend who lives in Wales -- she was one of my Profs at uni -- who is a Pros fan and apart from her B/D OTP she has a bit of a thing for Anson and is disappointed that, as far as she can tell, no one has written anything slashing him with anybody. So, as I needed someone for Murphy that Bodie wouldn't consider a possibility I thought I'd nod to an old friend. *g* I'm open to reading a lot of different things but in terms of writing the lads I'm B/D or B/FJ(D) all the way. *g*
Thank you for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-19 11:45 pm (UTC)That was just what I needed: misunderstandings, humour, great dialogue, bonus handcuffs, and wonderfully hot. Loved how you captured Bodie's voice for this and how you make it distinctive and obviously him. I like how you continually have Bodie moving from one misunderstanding to another, well until Doyle eventually manages to put him right.
Thanks luv.

Date: 2009-02-20 12:15 am (UTC)*hugs you back*
I'm beginning *cough* to suspect that misunderstanding may be one of my biggest kinks. *g* Ooh and thank you for saying that about Bodie's voice.
Thank you for reading. ♥

Date: 2009-02-20 12:46 am (UTC)Well, look at that. I can *see* them together too! *vbg*
I think perhaps people remember the bit o' sniping/cigars and forget that he tipped the lads off to what was happening with Cowley.
