And the winner is.... *drumrolls softly in the background*... Taverymate! Who not only posted the most correct answers, title and authors both, but posted all the correct answers! Hurrah!

We did threaten you with a prize... we didn't say it'd be a particularly good prize... but here it is - a second ditm post for the day, a bit to read, some angst, some happy, some Christmas lights, and a lot of very pretty pictures. And it's now eternally dedicated to you, Taverymate!

Of Myrrh and Light

Title: Of Myrrh and Light
Author: Josey and Slantedlight
Slash or Gen: Slash
Archive at ProsLib/Circuit/Hatstand: If you'd like to!
Disclaimer: We don't own the boys, or the CI5 universe, and we make no profit from this. We know this – you just taunt us by making us say it each time…
Notes: This came about after a word prompt of "Myrrh and Light" resulted in Josey creating a beautiful graphic, which prompted Slantedlight to add a few words (well, 100!), which prompted Josey to create… which… until finally the lads got it together.

Ooh, very pretty! There's a nice symmetry, isn't there? Graphics and text; two creators; Bodie and Doyle. *g* That's a lovely Christmas present for all of us, and a great prize!

My favorite bit of text? Predictably:
Bodie opened his eyes wide, and stretched out a hand.

After a moment, Doyle came and knelt beside him.

My favorite photo: Ooh...I love the partnership collage one, but...that one with Bodie in the dark, and the secrets bit...that's very pretty. *g*

Thanks!

I've been delegated to be the noisy one again, so on behalf of [profile] empty_mirrors too - thank you! (You could add two sides of the world as well actually, if you wanted to get extra-duality about it!) Really glad you liked it though, cos it was fun to do... those pics are quite inspiring, aren't they?!

Very nice wallpapers ... I'll Be Home for Christmas and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas are my favourites.

Thank you.

Well, I can't take any credit for the graphics, cos that part was [livejournal.com profile] empty_mirrors's brilliance, but I've still been sent to say thank you very much! (And I agree with you, they're lovely, aren't they *g*)

I loved this! It was visuals and text and even a soundtrack all tied together in one neat little package. I was humming along as I read. Just lovely!

And I liked the panda... ;-)

Hee! I never even thought of the carols as a soundtrack! We should so have searched for plinky-plunky type versions to go along with each drabble as people were reading! *puts on list for another time*

Glad you liked - on behalf of EM as well, thank you!

Why am I not surprised that Taverymate won? If anyone needs to find a story she always seems to have the answer. A wonderful resource she is.

This is so incredibly gorgeous - the amalgamation of fic, screencaps blended with other graphics, lyrics to songs. I love the way Bodie goes all out to decorate the flat to welcome Ray home. He really can cook when he wants to, can't he? The alternating points of view. Those last pics from The Rack are just about my fave photos of the Lads. That gentle smile on Ray's face says it all.

Yes, [livejournal.com profile] taverymate's brilliant, isn't she? Thoroughly deserved!

And on behalf of EM and me (I always get to be the noisy one) we're glad you liked the drabbley-graphic-y thingy!

(And personally, I don't think Bodie could be nearly as self-sufficient as he seems to be if he couldn't cook... I reckon he just likes to take advantage... *g*) *wanders into daydream about Bodie taking advantage...*

What a wonderful seasonal creation this is, beautiful words, lovely piccies, bits of familiar carols - all brought so beautifully together. Gorgeous!
I keep coming back to look at it again and seeing something new each time.
Thank you for sharing!

I was sorry not to be able to take part in the quiz (deadlines, panic etc *g*), but now we all get to share the prize anyway - that's my kind of competition! And I'm really enjoying the new tradition this calendar seems to have started of mixing stories and graphics. Almost like static songvids. Lovely to look at and very atmospheric. Thank you - and congratulations to Taverymate!

Yes, I'm having me own deadline panic over here... *kicks inspiration* *g*

The graphics/stories thing is quite good isn't it? And there's been so much that's different and new too - I love that Pros is so creative...

Anyway, on behalf of EM as well, we're glad you're enjoying it all!

Byslantedlight and empty_mirors: I feel ashamed. I should have thanked both of you properly for providing this wonderful prize for the winner of the quotes challenge. My only excuse is that I got over-excited when the replies came in and I'd thanked you in more general terms for arranging the whole thing. But I really do appreciate all that you've both worked hard for and achieved: for going to the effort of thinking up the idea of the advent calendar in the first place, for suggesting the quotes challenge and for creating the prize - something I could never have managed!

Ooh no, don't feel anything of the sort! Just hope it worked okay! What we really wanted to offer was a night with one of the lads, or autographed copies of the original fics, but unfortunately it turned out all we had was that..! And thank you for putting together the challenge - brilliant it was!

Thank you for this beautiful present, you two. I personally adore stories which incorporate carols - one of my all time favorites is MFae's "Three Ships"! - but it was extra wonderful to have the graphics to augment it.

Well, on behalf of 'er over there and meself - thank you! The graphics were actually bouncy - we started off with two words, then a graphic from them, then a drabble from that, a graphic from that, another drabble... and so on, until the lads finally got to it!

And btw, how did you do that? Predict that Three Ships would be on the Hatstand Advent Calendar today?!
