I love lots of black, yes, but it's also the contrast with the 'light at the end of the tunnel/passage' - literally and metaphorically - running towards light/hope/escape/freedom and away from the haunting/doyle's life ebbing away/the end of Bodie's life. So many meanings and so clever. I'll shut up now.

Oh very nice - I've always loved that image of Bodie racing to be able to save Doyle, and this is especially atmospheric! Thank you!

Very nice, I like the stark shadow/light contrast in this. And of course all the implications behind the shot that we know. But apart from that, it could easily be from another film, too - The Shining or something, and would work well in another context. You look at it and it somehow says "thriller" *g*

Yes, it could be from The Shining. Some scenes only need light and dark to look good. Glad you like it. :-)
