I'm posting on behalf of one of my favourite Pros authors today - with her kind permission, Lizzie's story "Nice Boys", from the zine Unprofessional Conduct 12 is going online today for the first time!

This is Lizzie, so there's no need to gild the lily - happy reading for Christmas Eve, everyone!

Thank you, Lizzie. Have a fabulous Christmas.

BSL, I've dl'd this and your story to the Kindle for reading when I have a nice block of unobstructed time. Your story is long and I don't want to read a paragraph here and there. Thanks for doing this. Great work.

Thank you - what a lovely treat for Christmas eve, now the present wrapping and tree decorating is finally out of the way, and the amontillado beckons.

It *was* a very happy reading - what else would I expect from an author who wrote "Join the Queue"? It was entertaining, sweet, lively, a story, with which I felt at home, a sort of "cuddling into a story".

The scene with the man wearing a hat and driving a car - that was funny. It's the same prejudice in Germany about men with hats *g*.

And of course the sentence "I think the answer was forty two" fits in a reall funny way - the late Mr. Adams made himself immortal with it. (Arghh - I just discovered there is a separate post about "42" in Wiki)

BSL - thanks for posting the story. It's long and worth to read every sentence with pleasure!

That was a really lovely story, and it was absolutely delightful to see Marge again.

Happy Christmas!

Thank you so much Lizzie, and thank you bsl for posting! I am insatiably and incorrigibly greedy and have had a first huge munch at this, so I know it's a real treat (it's funny, and not at all what one would first think of, but in certain respects it's true that you really have to have one hell of a connection with someone at some level to cope with that kind of intimacy - at least outside of a purely professional situation where it's your job and there's a great deal of detachment). Marge turned out to be a very astute as well as a very loving person in the end, didn't she! Good on her.

And thank you for the lovely treat - this year has brought a greater wealth of Pros-y treats than ever, and I still have more to enjoy if I ever get a moment's peace! In fact I rather think I need to maroon myself on a Treasure Island ... *g* So I shall be reading and re-reading at leisure before long. ::happy sigh::

It's not been very long since I first read this story but enjoyed it just as much this time. Funnily enough, I hadn't placed it as a Christmas story but, you're right, it is a perfect seasonal treat. Thanks to both bsl and Lizzie.

I've had time to read this delightful story and I enjoyed it very much. The lads were so adorable! Doyle was totally angsting over his love of his partner and Bodie was enjoying his time with Doyle unaware of Doyle's growing lust/love. I like that the h/c gave impetus to move the relationship into nice places! It was such a satisfying read. And older lads! A favourite of mine. :) Marge turned out to be a help to the boys and even liked Bodie just a little by the end. Thanks, Lizzie.

Very much enjoyed reading this, a nice mix of angst, tenderness and new discoveries. Plus I like stories that feature Marge, she's dead funny.

Thank you BSL and thank you, Lizzie! :)

I loved the story. I also, btw, loved reading it on my Kindle!! The whole setting was wonderful, and the minor characters were so real and interesting. The h/c element gave lots of room for the heroes to grow and develop and it was fascinating to follow them. Extremely well written, as we have come to expect from this author, who must be one of my favourite Pros writers. A lovely Christmas present!! (This is my thank-you letter.)
