I'm afraid the fic didn't get finished (will post it elsewhere once it is done), but I hope you enjoy this offering:



All Agents are to Refrain

We'll have no gum in the briefing room,
No sticky drinks in cars,
Crisps packets (empty) go in the bin
Don't leave them for the chars

The break room – tidy, please maintain
And keep your feet on the floor
If tea you spill then clean it up
You'll find cloths in the drawer

Good agents try to be discreet,
Go easy on the smells,
Of Polo, Brut or Aramis
(or Opium for the girls)

And if love blossoms with the spring
In defiance of the fine print
Adjust your clothes before you leave

And yes, looking up the scents took me back. I think Opium was the worst, there are some perfumes some people are just not meant to wear *eyeroll*.

D'you know, I don't think I have read any fic along the same lines - I've read stories with their plots based on something seen on the noticeboard (though if you asked me to name any I'd be my usual useless self... *g*) but not specific to what was on there... You know, that'd be a fab idea for a Dialj challenge, actually - would you mind if we gave it a go, quoting your poem as inspiration? *g* Or (even better... *g*) d'you fancy having a go as guest challenger?

I'm still trying to think of the stories... oh, they may have been nothing more than daft Valentines day ones - you know, someone posted up a jokey card, and it set one of the lads to thinking/scared them/etc etc... I bet we could do better than that... *g*

Yes I somehow can see Betty pin this on the board! And if she haven't done it herself she knows who *g*! Very cute! Opium that was Doir or YSL? Those fragrances were all quite overpowering. I remember something I think it was Poison, you could name the scent on every person who passes by.

Oh, yes! I like idea of Betty knowing all, even though there isn't much to base that on in the show.

Opium was YSL, 'Poison' (which was actually much worse) was Dior, but was mid-80's not 70's. Hmm... thinking about it, it may have been 'Poison' that my friend wore - whatever it was she wore too much!
