Very oddly we didn't have a deadline for this challenge when we first posted - but it will now end at midnight in your timezone (or Pago Pago time if you're really desperate) on Sunday 19th June - in other words, no posting on Monday 20th June or after!

That said - if anyone started a story and would like more time, let me know now and we'll extend to fit you in since we left it so open-ended to start with...

We've had four wee fics so far - any more with any more? Go on... stories about that gorgeous moment when the lads first lay eyes on each other... Write! Go write!

I bet you mean Sunday, 19th June, don't you? I was really excited when I saw the July, I admit, because then I thought I might be able to write something! When the challenge first went out, I thought it was actually only for that weekend in May, so I gave up without even thinking about it. *g* I want to participate! But since the 19th of July is actually a Tuesday... *g*

You might well not want to do this, but if you did extend it to at least that first weekend in July, after the initial BB deadline...

Eeep - well spotted! Yes, I did mean June, but I've had July on my mind this morning...

Hmmn, extending into July would mean making it much longer indeed... which would be fine if there were lots of people who might write for it in that case, because they like the theme... I'm not sure that'd happen though, with the Big Bang still ongoing and taking up alot of writers. Alternatively, there'll be a new challenge up for July... *g*

I suppose I could poll people to ask if they'd write for it if it was extended that far...

A poll would be great. My guess is that I'm the only one who would commit, but you never know! *g* I know I can always write a story on my own about the lads' first meeting, but I'm in the mood to write a story to a challenge prompt, and I like that one a lot. So, yes, put up a poll. If I'm the only one, then fair enough!

Really it goes both ways too, I guess - if the challenge inspires even one person then it's worth leaving up for their fic, so... and yeay for being in the mood to write to prompts!

ETA - oh bum, lj's doing that thing where it won't let me post a poll, I hate it when it does that... I'll keep trying...
