Another Burns Night passed, another challenge over... Thank you again to everyone who took part, writers, readers and commenters all!
Writers... I'm not sure what's going on with the Pros archives just lately, even though we've left the archiving section/request on the comm trailers - in fact if any of the archivists are around, it'd be really good if you could comment below and let us know where you're up to!
ProsLib still seems to be archiving, although I'm not sure how "automatic" it is right now, or whether authors need to send stories themselves. I've heard that Circuit is picking up the stories, even though they're not actually being posted... but I don't know. So the trailer may be a bit misleading, at the moment, in suggesting that there is further archiving with no more effort from yourselves...
The safest way to make sure your story doesn't get lost in the depths of lj is probably to open an account and post it yourself to The Automated Hatstand, sister site to our old The Hatstand archive.
And as usual, we'll be linking them up to the Dialj User Info page... and I'm shutting up about the Dialj Bound zines, cos I've clearly not got there yet, but I still mean to... *g*
Otherwise... do keep your eye on this comm for the next Pros-y challenge... *g*
ETA - Archiving at ProsLib: "Proslib is archiving, but it would be enormously helpful if writers would send a copy direct -- I collect what I can but... my RL is very demanding at the moment so I may well be missing things and really don't have time to hunt them down. Later in the year I hope to catch up." see comment below from ProsLib archivist
