Uff... nearly midnight...

Suffering from artist's block for some time now, I'm really happy that I finally can offer something for this challenge.
It's not what I wanted to do, but...

Well... Something like this happens when I'm 'playing'. ;-)

My first plan had been to do the exact opposite. How would the lads look like in 2012?
But all my own efforts were dilettantish and some programmes were awful...
This is the best I got:

Anyway...

Happy New Year!   :-)

(Thanks to everybody for the fannish enthusiasm during the last months! I'm terribly behind with reading, looking and commenting.
Sorry, sorry, sorry!)

I LOVE the images you chose for the first pic!!!
VERY nice hinting!

The second one - well, first I thought you tried to exchange the faces. They look very unreal! *lol*
Kinda chinese....

Well done!! And hey, don´t feel lonely, we´re here!! And the lads!!!

Wow! The first one is gorgeous (I've always loved Doyle in that shirt) and the second one really made me smile, they both look (particularly Doyle) as if they've been partying all night and had a few drinks too many. A great idea, thanks!

Ohh, that first one is gorgeous. The second is a touch scary! LOL! But thanks for the effort!

The first one is beautiful, I love Bodie at Doyle's shoulder and the pattern going across them, it's very effective:) The second one is ... different*g*

You haven't lost your touch:D

I really love the effect in the first pic. Sort of as if their souls are joining - or something.

The other one is very 'different'. It's amazing what can happen when you try different effects.

That first one is just stunning! I love the 'ghost' effect - it's very different and thought-provoking. The second one is different - and clever - but I'm not sure you've got them looking quite old enough. They're the same agae as me and they don't look quite like my husband's friends... I'm sure at least one of them would have more grey in his hair though I suppose they might be vain and use dye!!

I do like your first pic - it made me think of a Doyle dreaming of his Bodie... or Bodie always watching over him... or... very nice, anyway! *g* (And I think I'm quite glad you stopped playing with that bottom one! *g*)

I would say 'no' too, which is probably why they don't look quite 'right'. It's an interesting question. However, I do wonder whether Doyle might have changed his hairstyle, as MS has done, as he aged. Because again, there are very few guys of that (my) age around with the same hairstyles they had in the 70s. My husband had Doyle-style curls then (much to the annoyance of his father) and, like MS he now has short grey hair - wavy, of course.

Btw - glad you liked the card!

The first one is great! The second one is erm... weird, but it doesn't look faked. Especially Bodie looks very natural, as if it would have been his older cousin.

Uhh... I forgot to write about your current music: Summertime by Janis Joplin. It's *absolutely* great!!

Hey, you did come up with something! :D
I like the first one, nice composition and great images!

The second one actually kinda works except for the hair I think.
If they had white/grey hair they'd look very grandpa-ish, expecially Bodie,
he looks like he could be watching his grandkids play or something.

Yes - Bodie's haircut is timeless!

There were a lot of younger men in '70s England with longish wildish curls - not so many in Germany as I remember. They almost all changed their style in the late '80s. It was quite funny. It became quite usual to call the long hair effeminate so of course they all had it cut. Then there was a short period when people pointed out that a lot of gays (at the time) had very short hair so all the others started growing it again! (And they think it's women who follow fashion!)

People who worked in free-lance or self-employed situations were slower to respond to the 'fashion' but people in employment tended to bow to their employers' stated or implied wishes. So I think Doyle might have restrained his curls.

Sorry I'm late! I hope you'll forgive me.
The first one: I like it so much. With Bodie in the background and the shapes floating around them, it has an ethereal touch!
The second one: How did you do it? They look so real old (opposed to fake old ;-) For some reason Bodie looks older than Doyle. Must be the hair, I think.
Well done!!!

Thanks for the link. It's fabulous. :-)

Don't worry about your picture. In fact, it has a definitely positive effect, I think. :-)
