Uff... nearly midnight...
Suffering from artist's block for some time now, I'm really happy that I finally can offer something for this challenge.
It's not what I wanted to do, but...

Well... Something like this happens when I'm 'playing'. ;-)
My first plan had been to do the exact opposite. How would the lads look like in 2012?
But all my own efforts were dilettantish and some programmes were awful...
This is the best I got:

Anyway...
Happy New Year! :-)
(Thanks to everybody for the fannish enthusiasm during the last months! I'm terribly behind with reading, looking and commenting.
Sorry, sorry, sorry!)

The second one - well, first I thought you tried to exchange the faces. They look very unreal! *lol*

Date: 2012-01-02 11:15 pm (UTC)You don't have many possibilities to control the result of that 'aging tool'.
(hxxp://morph.cs.st-andrews.ac.uk/Transformer/index.html)
That's why I stopped to work with it.
(Sometimes there is nothing you can do about it...)

But Bodie is better looking in his old age than Doyle...
I wished LC wouldn't have dropped the 'Bodie haircut'!!!

You're right with the hair! But that programme makes quite small results, and therefore it's difficult to change some parts of the hair. Plus I wasn't content with all of it, so it makes no fun to play with... ;-)
Dyeing? I would say 'no'. Good question though! :-)

Date: 2012-01-03 07:14 pm (UTC)I think Doyle would keep his hairstyle, but of course with some light improvements as a concession to modern times.
Bodie's haircut is timeless. :-)

Date: 2012-01-04 01:39 pm (UTC)There were a lot of younger men in '70s England with longish wildish curls - not so many in Germany as I remember. They almost all changed their style in the late '80s. It was quite funny. It became quite usual to call the long hair effeminate so of course they all had it cut. Then there was a short period when people pointed out that a lot of gays (at the time) had very short hair so all the others started growing it again! (And they think it's women who follow fashion!)
People who worked in free-lance or self-employed situations were slower to respond to the 'fashion' but people in employment tended to bow to their employers' stated or implied wishes. So I think Doyle might have restrained his curls.

Date: 2012-01-03 07:05 pm (UTC)I like the first one, nice composition and great images!
The second one actually kinda works except for the hair I think.
If they had white/grey hair they'd look very grandpa-ish, expecially Bodie,
he looks like he could be watching his grandkids play or something.

Date: 2012-01-03 08:04 pm (UTC)And I'm sooo glad about that! :-)
You're right! They really need some greying temples!

Date: 2012-01-05 08:27 pm (UTC)The first one: I like it so much. With Bodie in the background and the shapes floating around them, it has an ethereal touch!
The second one: How did you do it? They look so real old (opposed to fake old ;-) For some reason Bodie looks older than Doyle. Must be the hair, I think.
Well done!!!

Date: 2012-01-06 10:55 am (UTC)Yeah! I avoid death fic like the plague and then I create such a picture... *frowns*
;-)
The tool is here:

Maybe there can be quite good results with good pictures? (möglichst gerade in die Kamera gucken!)
Thanks! :-)
