Very clever! The first one is OK, and I quite like the second one with the blue colouring (and they are almost holding hands), but my favourite would be the third one. Don't know why either. *g*

:D :D I made the second one heavily blue tinted but forgot to say that I didn't use Gimp for that (because I don't know how to yet in Gimp). And I like the third best as well. Thanks so much for commenting with your thoughts/impressions! :)

Oh very nice... and I think I like the third one best too. Hmmn - perhaps because the first two look like softened versions of themselves, but the third style seems to add something to the picture - the colour and lines and blurs give an impression of where they are, it emphasises that they're somewhere a bit grim, a bit edgy... *g*

Thanks so much for these detailed thoughts! I love what you wrote. :D

For the first two, I mostly played with the lighting and various amounts/brush types for the GIMPressionist filters, as well as some fading, etc. For the third, I mostly:

1) used the Cartoon feature
2) added a wee bit of Cubism
3) then added just the smallest amount of GIMPressionist brush filter/thingy.

:D

I couldn't articulate why I liked it best, so thanks for doing so! :D

These are very neat. I'm with the majority - I like the third one best. And i know why, too *BG* - it's because it looks like a painting. It's got so much shading and detail, i can focus my eyes on different portions of it, and see different textures and light.
