We've not had a drabble challenge for a long... time (wow, April 2008!) - bite-sized pieces of the lads, telling us their story in exactly one hundred words... I thought it might be about time to have another go. (And maybe I've been inspired by all the gorgeous Friday Lads pics out there, too... *g*)

We can either... wing it (drabble about anything you like!) or play in a drabble tree (where the word that starts your drabble should be the word that ended someone else's), or ask for prompts to set us off, or have a go at icon-drabbles (write a drabble based on an icon that someone either volunteers, or that you use, or that someone requests, or... *g*) or... the world is our gorgeous lads-type lobster!

We had twenty drabbles for the April 2008 drabble tree, and more than fifty for the February 2008 Two Day Drabble Challenge... what do you think, can we come up with that many this time?

And for those not sure, a drabble is a complete story written in 100 words - it's not just a snapshot of the lads, it tells a story... Ernest Hemingway famously wrote one in 6 words: "For Sale. Baby Shoes. Never Worn." but we're a bit more easy-going than that... *g*

Here's one that was written earlier - by [livejournal.com profile] kiwisue in fact, for an older drabble challenge - and if you start there are then just keep hitting the "previous" button, you'll find many many more if you'd like some examples...

Jump right in and post them to the comm - no trailers or other info required, just 100 words of the lads - deadline midnight in your time zone on Sunday night (and if you've moved to Pago Pago, where they just happen to have the very latest time-zone of all, then that's fine too... one day someone really will post from there, and I'll be soooo excited... *g*)

Now let's go forth and drabble! Would anyone like to play? *g*

YES I DO!!

I may be asking for a prompt later, but I'll see what I can come up with for now seeing as I'm in the mood for drabbles *g*

Fab! It's better to have half-inspired than not have inspired at all. Or something....

Sorry, I'll be passing on this challenge. I really do not like drabbles at all.

Not disapproving just kind of - 'oh, rats'. *g*

Sorry for the delayed response. Internet dramas meant no internets for me! :(

Very true - we all like different stuff. To me drabbles are like reading a synopsis for a story... and then not being able to read the whole story - very frustrating! *g*

A drabble done properly should be the whole story. :)

But I'm greedy. *g* I can never stop at just one chocolate - I want the whole box! (which would be why I rarely have chocolates in the house *g*)

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain

Oooh, drabbles! Much better than doing my expenses, or my post-event report, or useful things like that. Must see what I can come up with.
