It's pancake day! How could I have forgotten! Lemon and sugar and golden syrup beckon!

We've been quiet here since our gorgeous Christmas extravaganza, so I thought maybe we could set off again with a wee quick challenge - fics, drabbles, pictures and anything else welcome, to answer the question - what d'you reckon our lads would have on their pancakes...?

Post to the comm any time whilst it's Pancake Day where you live - or in Pago Pago, if you fancy a quick flit to the last timezone in the world... *g* Go on - spare half an hour to cover our lads in golden syrup to celebrate Pancake Day (okay, Shrove Tuesday...) with us?

Erm. *eyes time*. It may have to be Pago Pago pancakes. In the meantime, I commend to hungry readers, The Hag's 'Pancake Tuesday'. It's on the CD as that, and it appears as part of Raymond's Joy (http://archiveofourown.org/works/112897) (about halfway through)

I've eaten pancakes on shrove Tuesday, but the American way, with maple syrup. Never heard of them with lemons and sugar. Hmmm. wish I had the time to write a short fic.

I rather suspect they were American pancakes, too... I wouldn't put lemon and sugar on those, it'd be sucked into nothing... *g* Maple syrup is good on American pancakes... *g*

Next year I shall try and be alert earlier - don't know why we've never had Shrove Tuesday before! And there'll be another discoveredinalj challenge along soon, I promise!
