Discovered on pancake Tuesday: a drabble

discoveredinaljBodie had arrived with his arms full of shopping and his voice full of anticipation, and was unpacking happily.
"Lemons. Well, lemon curd, anyway. Honey. Yoghurt." He shot a glance at Doyle, "For you, that is. And, mmm, Chocolate Buttons."
Doyle shook his head in irritation. "Bodie, I told you yesterday. I don't like pancakes. I'm not cooking them. If you want pancakes, you can do 'em yourself."
"No, no, Ray," Bodie reassured him, busily opening jars and cartons and shaking the chocolate into a bowl. Tray in hand, he propelled Doyle ahead.
"It's not pancakes I'm thinking of doing."
