So all the way back in November 2006, empty_mirrors and I launched the first ever discoveredinalj December/Christmas/Winter/Let-there-be-light calendar challenge - Discovered in the Mistletoe, and it's been going strong every year since. We always wondered and worried a bit whether we'd have enough sign-ups to fill the calendar from 1st December to 6th January, and when I was doing it solo I worried about that even more... but we always managed it!

But time and people move on, and stuff changes, so this year I thought I'd do a poll first! I'll leave it open for a few days, and then let you know how it worked out... *g*

I didn't tick anything on the second question because December is currently a bit unpredictable - but I do hope I'd have enough time to sign up for a day, so feel free to count me as a probable extra person for the purposes of your survey!

Thanks for letting me know! I didn't put an option for "Maybe, I'm not sure" in the second one, because I've spotted that people tend to cannily tick it if it's there, so they don't feel committed, and then you still don't have a good idea about whether enough people are interested in something! But it's helpful to know that you will if you can, to the point that you commented to say so - much appreciated! (And hope it's a good unpredictability coming up...)

I'm all bouncy-bouncy yes please, but I'm a tad worried about you, because you'll be travelling and stuff, and I don't want to think of you chewing your arms to stumps over it... so I'm all yay! but only if it won't cause you massive grief.

Oh, it's the packing-up-house part of the travelling that's the most time-consuming and stressful, and that'll be over on the 16th - well, it'll have to be! I didn't have it last time, cos I was only away 6 weeks, but now I'm packing up my entire life... The plus side of that is that when I'm there (and when NaNoWriMo's over, which will be 1st December), all I have to do is work and socialise and whatever else I want. So in theory December will be less arm-chewingly stumpy than November - or February, when I have to start worrying about where I'm going to live when I get back!

Having just recently organized the Starsky and Hutch Secret Santa and started writing for the S&H Advent calendar, I got to thinking--where's the Pros Discovered in an LJ? Yay. Yes, I will sign up for a day.

And I had this in mind, too, when I asked for Pros fic from you, because the Prosy flow was so small, over the last weeks.

If you click on the links above, to the older challenges, you'll see how they work. You will need an lj account to post to the community (commenting can be done by anyone), or else I can post for you on the day you choose - whichever's easiest for you. And if you have any questions, just ask, at any time!

There's an artist dashing away at the challenge banner, and I'm just waiting for her to be ready (which should coincide with slightly less frantic times for me too!) and then I'll post this year's challenge.

Wet feet can be lovely things - in the balmy seas of Pros... *g*

Sorry to take so long to reply - this week has been mad, cos I'm leaving on a jet plane tomorrow (though I do know when I'll be back again... *g*)

If you click on the links above, you'll see how the challenge works - everyone picks a day, and they can post as often as they want on their own day. So you could write a serial story, but it would all have to go up on the same day!

Just waiting for the artist to be ready, and then I shall post all about it!
