Technically this is a fic reprise, as In The Bleak Midwinter was originally posted for the 2005 Santapros lj community, but it has not been seen online since, so we decided that it counted as good-as-new, especially for all the people who weren't around last year!

I hadn't read this one before, so this was a nice addition to the party! Enjoyed the glimpse of Bodie and his family in Benidorm - now that's something you don't see in many fics! Liked this exchange in particular.

"What the hell are you doing?" he says.

It's not quite the reception Bodie was hoping for, but then that's Doyle for you.

"Wondering why you'd forgotten to put a sign up that said 'to all would-be assassins, I am in the shower. The door's not bolted, so just come on in'.

This was new to me--and nice to discover in January, back at work, missing the Mistletoe challenge! I like the structure with the alternating povs, and how very long it takes them to figure out they want the same thing. *g* I, too, really liked Bodie's reaction to the unbolted door and Doyle in the shower. *g* Plus it all ends up very nicely, with them finally kissing. Silly sods. Thanks for the late Christmas present!

Thank you! It probably took them a bit TOO long, really - got a bit carried away with the structure-thing - but was fun to write and even to tweak a year later.
