Round Robin Feedback post
Jan. 29th, 2007 04:56 pmOops, meant to make this post for people to feedback to the round robin story days ago... But now you have 31 parts of the story to think about and comment on! And surely we're barely halfway? Feel free to give feedback to the writers here - and don't forget to Track the story post so that you can keep an eye on what's going on...
Anyone who would like to contribute is more than welcome to jump in at any time - each post around 200 words, and following on from the last one made! The more themore bizarre merrier, right?
The plan right now is to run until Friday 9th... although we don't really have to clear off until the 21st... *g*

Date: 2007-01-30 11:15 am (UTC)Slantedlight - Dr. Strangelove is one of my all time favorite movies (along with Brother Where Art Thou and Shawn of the Dead). I was so tickled that you put in a reference! I keep seeing the good Dr. struggling to control his evil Nazi hand. And the president trying to explain the nuclear crisis to a drunken Russian premier! Now I need to go watch that again... it's got a plot that could have been constructed via round robin as well.
Not to mention, the brief summary of the hanging plot threads was very helpful, too. You only forgot the dead groom and Pellingham-the-spy and MI6.

Date: 2007-01-31 06:59 pm (UTC)But... oh, poor Bodie! Is it wrong that I take such pleasure in his suffering?
And who is Borislav taking them to meet? Does Borislav have the virus himself? After all, he did react strongly to the light... Hmm... And how far away should they be when the building explodes? If Doyle takes his time, maybe he can get the drop on Boris when it happens. And Cowley won't be happy that he let the defense plans go...
I'm seriously starting to wonder if Boris is an UNCLE agent - or a THRUSH agent! Or possibly working for Dr. Evil. Very intriguing!

Date: 2007-02-02 09:38 pm (UTC)I loved your disoriented Bodie. :)
I was waiting for him to break free of his bonds and defend Doyle. Especially once he had heard Ray demanding to be let go, and then Borislav threatening to 'dispose' off him.
Could just imagine a wounded Bodie being simular to a wounded Tiger, can't you. Particularly, when it is defending its...

Date: 2007-02-03 05:30 pm (UTC)But I started wondering how we got to where we did in this story. So, a recap seems to be in order!
Plus, this might encourage people who are feeling a little overwhelmed by the plot intricacies, weirdness, you know, it all depends on your perspective.
1. (empty_mirrors) Party. Bodie wants sex. Badly.
2. (veronicaluv) Party. Looks like Bodie may get sex! Yay!
3. (callistosh65) Party. A commotion in the back of the room.
4. (myrebelcat) Party. Oh, look someone’s been poisoned!
5. (faramir_boromir) Party. Time to call Cowley.
6. (byslantedlight) Party. Don’t let MI6 in the building! Too late.
7. (myrebelcat) Party. Lady Pondham-Smythe-Jones, His Right Honorable Justice Pondham-Smythe-Jones, and the Pellingham Affair.
8. (izzie7) Party. "Viscount Pellingham was an equerry to the Prince of Wales until MI6 discovered he was a bit more than an equerry to the new Cultural Attaché at the Soviet Embassy." Cowley arrives!
9. (empty_mirrors) Party. Cowley is not happy. MI6 goons wilt like pansies.
10. (byslantedlight) Party. Crimewatch, and yummy slashiness.
11. (myrebelcat) Party. The Home Secretary gives the case to CI5. MI5 and MI6 not happy.
12. (jojosimco) Library. Late at night. Bodie wants sex. Phone rings.
13. (myrebelcat) Hall. Wrong number. Bodie makes monster movie jokes.
14. (callistosh65) Hall. Bodie wants sex. But wait, there’s a noise upstairs!
15. (crimson_37) Bodie still wants sex. Another noise leads them to an empty room and an open window.
16. (byslantedlight) Look! There’s a cemetery outside the window!
17. (myrebelcat) Cemetery. Doyle catches a Russian(?) spy(?).
18. (empty_mirrors) Cemetery. Look! Empty graves!
19. (myrebelcat) Cemetery. Time to go inside.
20. (asymphototropic) Kitchen. The Russian explains about the mystery virus.
21. (myrebelcat) Kitchen. We meet Borislav Putin. There is another thud upstairs.
22. (crimson_37) Upstairs. Vladimir the experimental cat scratches Bodie.
23. (jojosimco) Bodie may be a werecat!
24. (myrebelcat) The Study. Borislav finds a secret passage!
25. (crimson_37) The Study. Doyle intimidates Borislav.
26. (jojosimco) The Secret Passage. Doyle falls on Boris. Bodie is misplaced.
27. (myrebelcat) The Secret Passage. Bodie can see in the dark. He still misplaces Doyle.
28. (callistosh65) The Secret Passage. Bodie finds Doyle. Boris has clunked him and scarpered.
29. (empty_mirrors) The Secret Passage. Bodie really CAN see in the dark!
30. (crimson_37) The Study. Bodie collapses in agony. Bodie recovers miraculously.
31. (byslantedlight) The Study. Bodie wants sex. Doyle sums up the situation. It’s not good. Bodie runs off.
32. (myrebelcat) The Library. Bodie finds a book with maps and formulas.
33. (byslantedlight) The Library. The boys speculate on the connections between the Russians, the virus, the missing corpses, and dead groom.
34. (msmoat) The Library. The maps are England’s defense plans! And Bodie wants sex. Boris interrupts his plans.
35. (callistosh65) The Library. Boris wants Bodie. As a specimen! Doyle isn’t happy.
36. (myrebelcat) The Library. Boris doesn’t want the defense plans. He just wants Bodie and the formulas. And he’s set bombs in the building. Doyle is even less happy.
37. (crimson_37) The Library. Is Boris ill? The sun comes up. Bodie shoots.
38. (jojosimco) The Library. Turns out Bodie is shooting at hallucinations. Doyle lets Boris have the book. They leave.
39. (myrebelcat) Outside. The building explodes. Bodie passes out.
40. (crimson_37) Outside. Bodie is in a bad way. Boris makes Doyle carry him.
41. (myrebelcat) Somewhere. Boris has a boss. Bodie is getting needles stuck in him.
42. (jojosimco) A mortuary refrigeration truck. Doyle sleeps. Something incubates (in Bodie?).
43. (elizabethhelena) The Mortuary. Naked Bodie. Blue painted Maori in a lab coat?
44. (callisotsh65) A mortuary refrigeration truck. Ray wants sex. (About time!)
45. (myrebelcat) Bodie IS naked. And the Rastaman scientist IS painted blue.
So… how’s it all going to come together? Plot twists welcomed! Just remember, by the end these poor boys need to get sex. Especially Bodie!

Date: 2007-02-21 04:49 pm (UTC)Well done that Callisto, just in the nick of time! I think we'll call it a close with that contribution - excellent final line (even if they never did get to have sex...)
The next challenge goes up today, but this means I can run a RoundRobin Finished post first! I've compiled all the bits too, so I'll link to the full story... Hope you're all tracking this post, so you can see what's happened (except for the fact that if you are, you'll have got 3 email notifications for this comment - sorry...)

So... *taps fingers impatiently* What's the next challenge? Huh? Huh?
