Well, the Round Robin has come to a timely (for reasons you'll see shortly) end - thank you to everyone who contributed!

The entire story can be found here: Round Robin 2007 at the moment, and of course individual contributions are in the post below.

As of right now, the only overall editing that has been done has been a quick check for typos and making the spelling consistently British. I'm sure I've missed things, so any comments suggesting similar edits (but not plot, please!) will be gratefully received below - and hopefully the individual authors will respond if a comment concerns their contribution, so that a decision can be made whether to accept the suggested edit or not!

Also - we need a title! Please comment below with suggestions for that too, and we will try to come up with a consensus choice!

It might also be useful to have a pseudonym for posting at the archives, rather than trying to have it listed under every individual name - what do authors think of this? Individual authors could still be credited in a Note (and I think should be). Would you be happy to use "Dialj" as a pseud? Or does anyone have a much better idea (that all authors would have to agree with, please!)?

Once the title, pseud and edits are agreed, I'll post the final link to various Pros comms, and send it to the archivists as well, if everyone is happy with that.

And finally - a big hurrah for everyone who contributed. Keeping up has been alot of fun, and the final word count is over 13 000!

Bravo! The conclusion was very satisfying. Thank you all for a--um--adventurous read! *g* (I mean that sincerely!) Hats off for a job well done.

I'm useless at titles, so I'll leave that to others. (The best I can come up with is Round and Round the Mulberry Bush *g*) I'm happy to use "Dialj" as a pseudonym.

Thank you for an entertaining few weeks!

Well, I was wondering where Empty Mirrors was among the contributors? I didn't see her name?

Anyway, feel free to change/correct anything you like in my contributions! "Stacked like firewood" is one of mine, I think. And it sounds fine to me.

Edit-y stuff... I'm not sure all the breaks are in quite the right places. There's a few bits I noticed that seem to chunk together bits that ought to be separate in a timeline sense, such as where Doyle's dabbing at the scratch on Bodie's face. That can't come right after the cat attack, if it's the umpteenth time he's asked if Bodie's okay.

Would it be easier to put the little graphic break things between each contribution? Or would that make it too choppy?

Just to make life more difficult you know... ;-)

Title... um, what about something to do with Tiddles? Chasing Tiddles? ;-) I'm rotten at titles.

Oh, I like that one! :-D And it's properly British, too!

Alternatively:

The Story of a Fierce Bad Cat

The Tale of One Bad Cat

(But I think I like yours best!)

Ah! Thanks for clearing up the confusion. :-) I'm glad everyone's got their due.

Shmaffty ... ah yes ... that would be me. Um, not sure of the exact era of the term altho I've been using it here in the UK (*g* ) for many a long year. There are a lot of regional variations in marijuana slang words - this could be London (or northern). I'm happy if someone knows a more specifically Pros-era term for the wicked weed :-)

I like shmaffty! Never heard the term before, but it seems somehow very, um, descriptive. ;-)

Well, it sure ain't Canadian in usage. And if it's been around for awhile in the UK... I guess it depends on how long people have been using it, and whether it was around in the late seventies/early eighties. But, I must say I love the idea of a Bodie who is up on all the latest drug slang. Must be all those undercover gigs... ;-) What was in that cigarette anyway?

not that I know *anything* about these matters of course, but there was this guy (cough) who was in the RAF (cough) and he may have *told* me about it ... seventies flyboys any good??

The only ones I knew of from back then were 'grass' or 'weed'. From someone who grew up in the outerskirts of London, if this helps. :)

Bravo and thank you indeed! All done in a great spirit of collaboration and generosity which has got to be a good thing. (Also a bit like being on a runaway train, only funnier.)

I'm happy with Dialj as a pseud too, and altho I know there's a great title out there somewhere I don't know what it is *g*

Thanks a lot Slanted for correcting my pitiful mistakes. Dialj is fine with me and if you insist on the individual names in the note, then Crimson will do fine thanks hon.

Over 13,000? Well, we have been busy, haven't we?

It was great fun and thank you to [livejournal.com profile] empty_mirrors for organinsing it all to start with and [livejournal.com profile] byslantedlight for collating it all and doing such a fine job.

And thanks to everyone who took part and made it such fun.

Looking forward to the next challenge. :)

In this bit of mine near the end the question mark after 'that' needs replacing with a full stop. I changed it and then missed it before I posted. Oh wait, we’ve had that? The dolly blonde? Hardly.”

The complete stroy looks great the way you've got it up right now, and I'm perfectly happy for you to edit my contributions anyway you see fit. As for a title, I love Jojo's The Tale of Vladimir and Tiddles.

Now I have to wrap my head round gluttony...:))

Well, I personally think that any word edits etc should be either author-of-the-individual-bit's request, Absolutely. I was just giving you permission to word edit anything of mine if you thought it sounded awkward or non-British. I *am * British but I've been away for so long now that non-British things creep in.*g*

And I love the titles you came up with! - I'm still going for the Tiddles one - how can I not?? Though I also like the sound of 'The One About The Russian, The Maori and the Werecat', which also sounds very Brit-like and kooky.

Finally got round to reading the denouement - a triumph! Well done everyone :)

Personally, I like A Tale of Tiddles for the title. It has the advantages of brevity & alliteration, not to mention that hint of weirdness which would come to light when anyone reads the finished product!
