Ooh, I love this! Every bit as classy as the lads themselves look there. I really like the balance of cool and warm colours. It was also fun to take a tour of the gifts. The antique military figures were a nice touch. Great work! :D

Thank you. It took me a bit of time to think what gifts to use - in the end I chose things that i thought would suit each lad and were a bit sentimental.

Ooh! Presents! Lovely and sharp and clean. I thought that was chocolates and then I took a closer look - cigars! Bodie can look all decadent with his bow tie undone and relaxing back with a whisky and a cigar. Now I am curious what the book is :)

And the overall effect is great, with the pale background and the red decorations.

Thank you. I have an image in my mind's eye of Bodie looking all decadent with scotch and cigars, maybe by a raging fire. I can't recall what the book is. I think it might be Lord of the Rings. I was more interested in finding just the right one that looked right rather than the title. Still, I think LoTR would suit Doyle.

It is. I think the lads deserve one after a year of running down bad guys. Thank you! Originally the glasses were swapped around but I think they work better this way.

I do like this collages of yours! This one is very nicely put together! I like every element, and also how you've inserted the lads seamlessly into a winter background. It works perfectly for drawing you in and discovering something new each time. Thank you!

It did shrink - better, thank you!! (Did you do it in html? One of the most useful things someone told me was to add "height="90%" width="90%" at the end of the image code (after the closing " of the url, and before />. That means that it'll adjust to people's individual screens, to take up 90% (or whatever percent you want) of people's column-width. Using percent rather than just the numbers/pixel size means that the size can change as it needs to for people). So your code would look like this, I think - without the asterisks, which stop it actually working! You could copy and paste this into your post, take out the asterisk, and it should work... You could actually use 100% too, and it'd be the size of people's own columns rather than a bit smaller - at least that seems to be how it works! *g*

Swapping toy soldiers each year ... that's a great idea! I chose the musician for Doyle because of his artistic nature, and the more regimental one for Bodie because of his background. Thanks for commenting - and the advice! :)

Lovely! The picture of the lads you've used is one of my favorites and adding them to a snowy background works perfectly. A well thought out choice of gifts for each of the lads, too. And as said above, the composition and the colors work very well! (I've enjoyed your other collages, too - just way behind on posting comments!) It's one of my favourites, too. I wish that there had been more stills taken of them on set in their tuxedoes (or dinner jackets as I think we more likely referred to them as back then). I'm glad you think that the snowy background works Thanks for commenting. :)

Gorgeous! There's very little to beat morning-after-the-night-before lads, and I love the similar but different gifts they've given each other. The overall effect says so much about them, too, and suggests what a great Christmas they will have together. Thank you for this, it's perfect!
